They should get back to you. You as a patient have the right to prompt information about your conditions and treatment. You have to right to be informed as to the results of any and all test verbally and in writing.

Unfortunately in today's hospitals they are often understaffed. Hubby was in Neuro ER and I still had to check up with the nurses constantly. Some wouldn't do all the checks they were supposed to do when they came on. One time there was an X-ray that had been scheduled for the next morning. When I checked to see what the results were the nurses had failed to even call the technicians or read the papers to see what the instructions were. Hubby went without an X-ray to check on the condition of his lungs which had Staphlococcus and Pneumonia infections. One lung had been almost completely clogged. He was currently sedated and on a forced air machine and they FAILED the CHECK the PAPERS.

I was pissed but we as patients need to take the responsibility into our hands to make sure we get the care that we NEED or that our family NEEDS. Doctors and nurses are only human and cannot know our needs as well as we ourselves do.

You can and should register a complaint with the hospital as since you have had a kidney transplant any infection in that region can be extremely dangerous.
