* Heading back down the stairwell,
you see nothing has changed.
The torches still flicker from the chill air from below.
And you pass the landing, with the hall & door you initially came through.
But now silence instead of the noises you heard before behind the door.
You reach the bottom of the stairwell and the connecting hall with no issue
except for the difficulty of negotiating a steep narrow way.
The door is open and in front of you, to the large hall.*
