Question about my electric guitar stings...plz help!!!
Hey there...my fan controller attacked my 1st (E) guitar string when I was carrying it to the seat to start playing it...well the damn thing snapped off...damn computer....
so I had to go out and buy me some new ones since not only was I one string too short and had no extras, BUT the strings had never been replaced...at least I don't THINK they've been...MAYBE once...ANYWAYS...I bought new ones and the 1st string was too short...all the others were good to go and I had already put them on my guitar...well I TRIED to put the too short string on but it wouldn't work...
SO I just went over to Lane Music and told the guy there my problem...(BTW...LM is the same place I biught the strings the day before...which was yesterday)...well the guy there said saoory man and gave me a replacement...
my question is this: The replacement was a 9 gauge string...but the gauge that I've been using on my guitar was a 10 gauge...would this still work???? I wouldn't have to make adjustments to my guitar just cause it's 1 gauge off than normal would I??? If so does anyone have an extra they could send me??? I don't wanna go back and be ask for ANOTHER one...it's ALSO made from different metal...the strings I bought are nickel wound and the replacement string I got was plain steel...not sure if any of this make any difference tho...can anyone assist me???? THANX
C'YA ?:-D
