So is the national deficit. In fact,
it is the highest it has ever been in U.S. history.

True, intelligence said there were weapons, and it is looking like they won't be found. The fact remains that Bush did not lie.

There is a fine line between outright lying and intentionally misleading that I'd like to explore here. I think it's clear that Bush's stated reasons for going to war were calculated to gain approval and nothing more. He used the tragedy of 911 and the resultant fear to further his own political agenda, and that of the special interest groups that support his administration.

...He has been a step up from Clinton!

When will the Republicans lick their wounds and move on? Clinton oversaw one of the most prosperous periods of history in my lifetime. All Bush is overseeing are times of extreme partisanship, widespread poverty, fear and uncertainty over our future and our very safety. And he has
done nothing to improve this. Tax breaks to the rich when the poverty level, unemployment rates and national deficit are at an all-time high -- on top of a massive bill to rebuild Iraq and expand military operations -- is just staggeringly irresponsible.
