The Scourging was never filmed, I know some people who worked on LOTR (I even got a go on the facial animatronics on Treebeard). But there's always hope, a fool's hope
I never liked the Scourging in the novel myself but ROTK is the only novel who's ending made me cry.
p.s. this trailer was amazing, sent shivers down my spine the whole way through
