I quit 4 years ago. Did it the cold turkey way. Amazingly, I think that my success was based on the real desire to quit. If you don't seriously want to give it up, then any outside influence's would cause you to fail. I smoked the last cigarette in the pack one nite and haven't looked back. In all these years, i don't recall any real desire to start back. Even when around people who are smoking, it hasn't set off a craving.
