How many of these am I going to post today...?
As time goes on, more and more people will be famous (or will have been famous, which is about the same thing when the person dies). The future is going to be a gold mine of celebrity mortality--every day, someone famous will kick off, and we'll all feel sad and reminisce, etc. There's nothing like a good celebrity death to bring people together.
Elia Kazan: great writer/director, cowardly sellout to the House Un-American Activities Committee in the early fifties. Eh--you win some, you lose some.
