Elia Kazan Dies
Kazan directed the groundbreaking Broadway productions of "Streetcar Named Desire" and "Death of a Salesman," as well as "Waterfront," "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn," and many others.
He is also well known for naming fellow Hollywood members of the Communist party during the McCarthy era and was recipient of a very controversial lifetime achievement Oscar in 1999.
