Right now, if you want to spend $300 or less, you should DEFINITELY get the Abit NF7-S 2.0 motherboard and AMD Athlon XP 2500+ Barton at 1.8 GHz. That will put you at about $200-$250 total. That is an extremely powerful combination, capable of insane overclocking. The motherboard is literally the best on the market for performance with the nForce 2 chipset. NewEgg has them both; you can usually find the processor on sale for about $90.00.
