It's strange that people have an aversion to clicking on links. Unofficially, I will never link to anything that has more than a couple of popup windows. (But of course, Officially -you, the clicker can never be sure.)
Orson Scott Card is one of my favorite writers. I think he is on mark here and I think that the RIAA is
out of control.
One of the sad things that disappeared after the RIAA started having their little
witch hunt; was the easy availability or otherwise near complete disappearance of certain
rare albums. You see, I am a music collector. Although I like the original albums complete in their packaging, I am willing to settle for just the songs.
Note that the RIAA has other plans for me and my taste in music. Their attitude is that if it's not
Britney Spears then why would anyone buy it? After all, the recording industry
spends millions to get their artists in your face. Ultimately the RIAA views the music as nothing more than widgets cleverly designed to move money out of your pocket.
So why not sue when that system is jeopordized?
