I'm not sure if this will help your problem, but try uninstalling Kazaa and installing KazaaLite K++ at
http://www.kazaalite.tk
Kazaalite is pretty much Kazaa without the spyware and popups and stuff. This may not fix your problem, but it can't hurt to try. If for some reason the program is screwing up because of a piece of spyware, this'll fix your problem
