"Hate?" That's an awfully broad brush, isn't it? I debate plenty of people, but I rarely "hate" those people.
And I'll wager you haven't read the book, have you, Conclamo? I say this because you really can't criticize an authors style when you don't actually witness it.
The instances where he's joking would be obvious to even the biggest imbecile. But of course, it you were an imbecile, you wouldn't be reading Franken's book - you'd still be sounding out the first chapter of Ann Coulter's book.
