I am not sure if clothing is composition or character design....but....I like the buckles/straps and more of them...maybe just their length and width or presence would be nice. Perhaps some to hold the stitched parts of the pants together....perhaps longer shoulder guards. But thats just my natural desire for full armoring and this character has a light feel instead.
