They said that saddam supported Al-Qaida, if i recall correctly, he even financed them with large hunks of money. Saddam did not have any links with Al-Qaida for the simple reason they wanted him dead. To Al-Qaida Saddam was a bad Muslim and they wanted him out so they could form a proper muslim state.
