Another Great Story by Four Fingers.
Experience the Humming
A mystical dark-blue aura illuminated the city at night. It was raining and it was cold, but you didn't mind from underneath the debonaire real-leather jacket that you were wearing. You were wakling in a group, more of less, wandering aimlessly in the city. In the front of the group, there were two loud girls, laughing and giggling nervously. Not far to your left, your best friend and his girlfriend walked silently together. He was hugging her with one arm, and holding an umbrella in the other. You could hear two guys teasing a girl playfully, after the rain deformed her hair.
The random chatter, the strong rain, and the sound of cars rushing through the highway not far away, formed beautifully depressing new-age music. You enjoyed being depressed. The world around you was dark and slow and sour, and it attracted you. Your pain became your pleasure, and soon enough you entered an addictive, trancelike mental mode.
Slowly, the group dissipated, and you were left alone to wander some more in the empty streets. You arrived at your own place, where, without rush, you removed your clothes and entered the shower. The white light bounced from the yellow walls and created orphic warm textures all around you. The hot water hit your skin violently from above, while steam infiltrated your lungs. You let yourself fall down on the shower floor, then cuddled a bit and finally hugged your legs in a semi-comfortable position.
In this strongly-emotional state, you enjoyed thinking about nothing. You remembered the crazy time you had in the club earlier that night, and then your passionate kiss at the bar. You remembered the cold rain and the wild laughs. You knew you would vote for Bush. You felt his power and might. You felt his truthfulness and spirituality. You were ready, at that moment, to commit yourself to a better, more fulfilling life.
And an hour later, you went to bed. It was raining, but you could see the stars. A new day awaits tomorrow.
