Model kit airbrushing?

For a long time, I've been interested in learning how to airbrush a professional-looking kit. Piece by piece, I've put together a fairly decent outfit... a quiet air compressor with a pressure gauge, single- and dual-action airbrushes, a friggin' rainbow of easily-mixed acrylic paints.

Still... I don't know a damn thing about actually airbrushing. I've made a few attempts in the past to experiment with the tools, but all I really did was waste a lot of paint. So basically, I'm looking for some guidance. Any advice offered will be appreciated, or if anyone could recommend a good how-to book or website (particularly one with video) for beginners, I'd be grateful. I'm especially interested in weathering and fleshtones.
