I think spectre's said it best, so far.
The internet is an amazing resource for everyday life. There's a prodigal amount of information on it, but it lacks direct human contact. This, however, can be a good thing; most of the ideas that get talked about here couldn't be discussed by this many people with this many viewpoints anywhere else.
