I just saw a GM product that will compete with the Lightning. Berger Chevrolet (2003 ZL1 Camaro anyone?) buit a 1500 Silverado with a Corvette LS1 and 6 speed. I have a feeling it would be roughly similar performance wise to the other two major offerings.
