Kentelos, not sure if it will help the situation now that the rope is pulled, burns the rope above the "clerk" out of his reach so that he can not pull it again, while at the same time attempts to sever the chain attached the the clerks right side. He hopes that it may show him that we mean him no harm, and also that the chain is not fire resistent.
