I have been cutting lately so my max would most likely be lower then normal. It has been over a year since I tried to max. Currently when working my chest on bench press, I start out at 190lbs @ 8 reps, then increase the weights with each set (I do 4 sets) until im up to about 215ish lbs (depending on how tired I am) and I do my reps until exhaustion. If I was to guess what my max is, id say about 235...i'll have to see once I start increasing my calories again
I prefer dumbell flys over the bench because benching is so hard on my shoulders.
