I know you wrote that you cannot use Microsoft Word. I would recommend you find a way to do so.
Employers often take the resumes they have received and stash them in one folder. Then the rename them according to your last, then first name to prepare to compare them.
I would find some way to use the format (MS Word) that most businesses and HR departments use. Otherwise, its pretty easy for your resume to get "lost." Remember, while it does sometimes pay to be innovative and stick out, you can also shoot yourself in the foot by not getting considered at all.
MS Office is available at a HUGE discount (like fifteen bucks) to all college students. If you're not one, you have got to know one. Spending one-hundred and fifty for Office is a bitch, but you should be able to get it for fifteen.
