I've never tried the weapon wipes, but I use hoppes and break free. Shake the break free before you use it!
Always clean after every time you shoot. As for cleanings in between range times, I clean mine depending on how often I carry it. Usually just wiping it down will do. I probably only break it down and clean it every 4-5 months unless it gets wet. When it gets wet I always break it down, wipe it down, re-oil, and put a thin coat of Rig on it.
Also...never let excessive oil build up on the bolt face... Keep it dry. If you keep your gun loaded 24/7, oil on the bolt face could seep into the primer and cause your first round to be a dud. Just something to keep in mind...
