Are you referring to the Rapture? The Rapture is when all Jesus believing individuals are taken directly to heaven. Then, after the Rapture, chaos ensues and the events of the book Revelation occur.
If you're a Christian, I highly suggest you read the Left Behind series. It's a 12 book series (only 8 or 9 written thus far), that deals with the events described in the book of Revelations as if they were literal. From the Rapture, to the lotus, to the brief reign of the devil, to the final establishment of God's kingdom on Earth.
It's an amazing book series. Great reading.
