I built one of these a few years ago. The best thing that I found to use for the blades was (surprisingly) the stainless steel spatulas that are used in baking cakes. They are about sixinches long and about two wide. just cut to shape with your trusty belt grinder and dremel a inch long notch in the end that attaches to the tip of the copper finger, slide it on, sodder, and away you go!
