I'm sad to see both John Ritter and Johnny Cash pass away, but I've been expecting to hear the news about Johnny Cash since he missed the MTV Music Awards. Ritter's death comes out of the blue and reminds me of a friend I lost late last year to a sudden heart attack with zero warning. It also brings back the memory of Jim Henson - who died without anyone having any time to mentally prepare.
Another painful reminder that our time here is very, very limited and may expire at any moment - whether we're ready or not.
