I think distance matters because it looks better, at some subconcious level your brain probably recognizes that shooting farther makes your sperm look more livlier than if they just dribble out of the starting gate.
Reminds me of this guyI used to work with--he told me childhood stories about him and his friends having cum shooting contests back in the filipines.
