HalfLife Crashing *Need Help*

Yes, thats right... the best game of all time constantly crashes whenever I play it. It blue screens me after 1-10 minutes of play and from there I am forced to restart. The only error message i get (which has appeared on the blue screen only once out of the 15-20 times it has crashed) says "Memory Parity Error". So after checking my memory using norton system utilities I have confirmed that my memory is working and in good shape. I have updated ALL of my drivers, including my video card driver 3-4 times. I am a HUGE half-life fan and I NEED MY FIX BEFORE I GO INSANE. Sorry about that but if you've played HL you'd know how i feel. I have the latest versions of HL and CS and am using a legal cd-key, I have also re-installed HL 3 times or so and i get the same issue every time although sometimes it takes a few days of gaming for the game to crash. I'm beginning to wonder if this might be a power supply problem but the thing is my system only crashes when I'm playing HL so go figure. I'm running winXP on a 1.8P4 with 512RDRAM and an ATI9700 vidcard. I have checked countless forums and scoured the sierra website in hopes of finding a solution and although a few other peeps seem to have this problem there has yet to be any fix! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
