hehe... Actually, over the last couple of years there has been some decent Korean films. You're right though, traditionally they are usually really poor. *cough* Shiri *cough*
I re-read my post, and probably mislead a bit. It's not an actual Korean film - it's a Hong Kong production. It is in Korean with english subtitles, but the story simply revolves around a group of Korean envoys in 1375 who go to China to make peace. They are, however, taken as spies and sent to the Gobi desert to die. The movie's main plot is them trying to get back to "Koryo".
Highly recommended!
