Be careful of a clean slate as some upgrade CDs are not bootable. You might want to go to bootdisk.com and make the 1 disk XP boot disk just in case your CD isn't bootable.
I formatted my hard drive and then couldn't boot from the CD so I had to make the disk at work. What a pain.
