It depends on a couple things, mostly on how hydrated you are, but also on how hard you are working. I have found that when I am really exerting myself, my pee is dark even if I am drinking enough water and I piss every forty five minutes or so.
Alcohol is another factor, as are other diuretics since they reduce the body's ability to 'concentrate' your urine in order to conserve water.
