Seriously, forget airport security - watch out for that library!...
All day on campus, I've been noticing that there are sercurity people everywhere. (Which are dressed nearly identical to the agents in the Matrix BTW, kinda creepy. :P ) Now since our usual security staff consists of students on work study, I figured something must be up. So I checked our website, and sure enough the President of Bolivia is going to speak on campus. I'm assuming these extra security guys are his equivalent of the Secret Service or whatever.
Anyway, on my way back from class today, I remembered that I needed to stop in our library to pick up a CD. This particular CD was located on the lower level, so I just went in the library and walked down the stairs. Unfortunately, the security guy in the main floor didn't see me to stop me from going down. I'm guessing that the President must have been staying on that floor for whatever reason this afternoon, because before I got halfway down the stairs, two security guards stopped me, and were immediatly asking me questions like "what am I doing there" and "whats my name." They weren't exactly very nice about it either. Then they made me empty out my entire backpack and all my pockets before they let me go back up the stairs. Now, clearly I was a student, and I don't think I look very threatening.
Was it really necessary to go through all that? I guess they're just doing their job.
Anyway, I better lay low the rest of the day before I get on Bolivia's Most Wanted List.
Oh yeah, and I didn't even get that CD I need. Gosh darn Bolivia.
