That's exactly what I suggested, next to the fact that some employee has got a conflict of interests here. If the bank does not have a legal/official obligation to block your account then that employee should start looking for a new job.
Btw: there are other reasons a bank can block someone's account, but a request from some employee or random organization is
not enough.
My advice: contact a lawyer to make sure, and then send a letter to the management of the bank.
