I am not a fan of the pharmaceutical industry. But I have been bitten by expired drugs. Once my father and I were going out fishing on the ocean and we took some dramamine that was about 4 years expired. We hadn't even gotten out to sea yet and we were puking like crazy. Ruined the weekend. The next week with some new dramamine we spent the weekend on the water without incident.
That being said, I routinely use things past the expiration date. Except for canned goods which have been routinely proven to develop bocholism, I don't actually believe the dates on most products.
