Spain. By far the most interesting (to me) of the European countries I have been to. Check out Madrid, Salamanca, Toledo, valle de los caidos, Granada, etc. The Cathedral in Toledo is fantastic, as is the Alhambra in Granada. Both a bit touristy, but good. Go off on your own and check out some tapas bars. The Prado in Madrid is another must see (if you like art).
