Anybody ever heard of Metal Marines for the SNES? It was a very rudimentary RTS game. You would play against the computer, each with your own island. You would build up your island fortress and then launch missiles at the computer's island or send in the Metal Marines (mecha) to destroy the enemy base. Lots of fun.
This was before Warcraft and C&C really started the RTS genre, so it was pretty cool at the time.
