Well, since he's never heard it, I thought I would post the joke.
Two friends decide to become cowboys, so they move to Texas and build themselves a ranch. Once the ranch is built, all that's left is to buy a bull, so one of the men goes north to a cattle show, after making the plan to send a telegram back so the second man would know when to come with the trailer for the bull. So the first guy goes to the cattle show with $500 dollars to get a cow, but has to spend $498 to pay for cow once he gets there. After the sale he goes to the telegram office, and asks the clerk how much it will cost to send a telegram to Texas. The clerk tells the cowboy that it costs $2 a word. The man thinks for a moment, and then tells the clerk that he only wants to send one word-- Comfortable. The clerk looks at the man funny, and asks him what good that would do? So the cowboy tells the telegram clerk "Well, my friend isn't real bright, and he reads kinda slow. So when he gets that telegram, he'll read it 'com-fur-da-bull".
