(Okinawa) where weapons were outlawed. The weapons they developed have become famous as martial arts weapons, but they are a very small percentage of martial arts weapons and come from a very very small area.
so martial arts weapons, in general, were not derived from farming tools. A few specific examples of martial arts weapons, that have become very recognizable as such, were developed from farming tools, but they by no stretch of the imagination comprise the majority of martial arts weapons.
