I've had it off for almost 2 weeks now. I experienced itching only after the first time. I used an electric razor to trim the thick hair above the shaft, but once I got it down to 1/2 inch or so, I switched to a Mach 3. I use soap in the shower and it works great. You can go against the grain as long as you aren't on the balls. I just take it easy on the balls, and it has gotten easier and easier. It feels strange at first, but I really like it now.
