I looked over the rules on the main site and in the gaming forum and did not see anything about posting this type of thing.
I was informed afterwards about the rule in the Nonsense forum.
The post I created made readers fully aware of what they were clicking on. There was no attempt to "trick" anyone.
As long as it is fully explained and kept to a single post in the gaming forum I do not see a problem with these type of games.
If its in the Gaming forum then people will know its a game.
If it is descibed then people will not need to worry about what they are clicking.
I do not see much difference in these games and Seti/F@H applications.
Both have the same purpose of trying to get to the top of the list by a show of your computer power/war disciplines.
I'd bet that most people that run Seti do not even run it to try and uncover alien transmissions. They are just trying to get the most units done.
