I hear ya Hal - and was *really* nervous before trying this, but it honestly worked with no trouble. I tried a test patch - and had no trouble. Then, several days later, took that leap of faith.
Aside from that one area that got hit twice, no problems at all.

I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. It contains Thioglycolate, which essentially dissolves the hair. But as mentioned above, I'd definitely try it on a very small area first - to be sure it doesn't affect your skin differently than it did mine.
In a broader sense, though... you mix this powder with water, and apply. Wait five minutes, keeping it moist, then remove with a dull edge, like a butter knife. Cream comes off, as does the hair.
