I really have no idea why it is so exciting to see two women kiss, but it's hard to say that it's not. Most straight women can even find some redeeming value, but many straight women would NOT want to see 2 guys kiss. Many straight women also find the female body generally more pleasing to look at.
Women are generally more attractive to BOTH sexes, even if you're a straight woman. So I think that's why lesbians or pseudo-lesbians are so attractive. You've got two women's bodies which are attractive things in general, and 2 is better than 1. Guys bodies aren't as attractive, I guess.
