my first girlfriend was a full foot shorter than me.. her mouth came perfectly to my nipple-height. The relationship lasted nice and long, no problems.. but then again, women are expected to be shorter.. I could imagine that a woman dating a shorter man would subconsciously think him inferior, or undesirable.
But frankly, if it ended quickly and painfully, it probably had a lot more to do with your respective personalities..
