As an case in point the initially 20th ranked Sooners of 2000 had to go 12-0 to get a shot at FSU, Don't be suprised if UM drops into the 20 + range (probably without justification), but these days its' tough to recover and you don't control your own destiny anymore. I hope they do go 11-1 but I'd be suprised. I kinda like that crew and I really like the coach. He seems like a good guy.

I wasn't talking about a National Championship, but this year, it looks like to me, no team will go undefeated, leaving it up in the air, all the conferences look very competitive, and with Miami, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech playing each other, it's very possible to see all the teams lose at least one. And in the other conferences it's also up in the air.
I see losing the first game as a blessing, rather than losing the last one.
We'll see, the Big 12 has always had crazy championship games, and it's possible that teams will lose.
