For my needs. Gotta go american. I drive a 1/2 ton pickup. Not many import options with the same capacity as my Chevy. The Tundra/T100 I looked at when considering trucks.
The deciding factor was that I do all my own work. Parts availability and pricing is much easier for me with an american truck. I do work for my friends and even with my commercial account at most of the dealers and parts stores in town there's a premium for the import parts. Ususally around another 30-40% over the domestic parts.
