Like the other people said, it's all about creating something from nothing and seeing it succeed.
My best friend and I made a website together, he did the design/marketing and I did the programming. It is becoming VERY widely used and profitable. We're finding mention of it all over the place and the traffic is growing phenomenally.
It's really fucking cool to see where it is now, and remember all those times we sat around at 4 in the morning all doped up on coffee and nicotine just talking and hashing it out. Seeing those ideas we threw around become reality, and then seeing that become successful is an incredible feeling.
