Historical religion of japan, based on worship of different kami or gods. Has a full creation story where the island of japan (the world as they knew it at the time) rose from the sea.
There are many festivals dedicated to the worship of the kami throughout the year, and shrines that range from little alcoves on a wall in the street to elaborate temples.
