First time I heard asshat was in college, approximately 1990, from a friend after my girlfriend puked on his shoes and I laughed. "What the F*CK, you are such an Asshat, stop laughing and get me a towel." I couldn't stop laughing, he said asshat with such conviction. Anyway, I used if for a few years then it slipped out of my vocabulary(once I entered the real world), but a few months back I saw it again on FARK.com and my heart sang. Imagine my joy to see this thread. I vow to return asshat to my lexicon of insults.
