This is true, but we do not live in a Democracy. We live in a representative republic, which operates much more efficiently with a two party system. Multiple parties require coalitions which can breakdown at any time causing disruption and instability. True democracy is simply impossible.

I know this is not on topic, but I go nuts every time someone says the United States is a Democracy.
