the beast gay thing was a joke i believe..
Necause his relationship with the reporter was going soo horribly, and with all the changes going on in his life after Bernard put him in a coma and all the stuff that went on durring Morrison's Xmen run.. he just doesnt have time for a "normal" relationship anymore..
I really liked Morrison's work with the team though, great writing.. but to each their own. I havent read anything since that story arch though..
p.s. who keeps ressurecting old threads?
