While doing some periodic maintenance on a friend's Windows ME system (blech), I stumbled upon a task manager app called Another Task Manager (ATM) that lets you view each process like in Windows XP/2000, with memory usage, file location, etc. Even better, unlike all the other programs of its kind that I found, this one actually includes CPU usage for each process, whereas the other 9x "process viewers" don't.
I also recommend Window Washer over at webroot.com. I've cleaned out multiple gigabytes of crap on some systems, with the touch of a button. It's astonishing.
